Born in Brooklyn and raised in Florida, Texas, New York, and New Jersey, I grew up navigating challenges that demanded resilience and shaped a lifelong commitment to both creativity and service. Today, I serve as a Regional Service Manager at Hyacinth Foundation in Paterson, NJ, overseeing multiple departments and programs that address care and treatment, housing, harm reduction, mobile outreach, and psychosocial wellness. My work is rooted in advancing status-neutral care and connecting diverse, underserved populations to resources that support their health, dignity, and stability.
I have continued to strengthen my leadership through ongoing education and professional development, completing courses with Stanford Medicine on unconscious bias, health equity, and inclusive care practices, as well as multiple certifications in HIV testing, PrEP navigation, and community health. This training equips me to better support clients and mentor staff in delivering compassionate, effective, and equitable services.
My career began in the arts — as a graduate of Rosa L. Parks High School of Fine and Performing Arts and later a student of Visual Communication and Graphic Design at Briarcliffe College. From fashion styling and visual merchandising to gallery exhibitions, I built a creative foundation that continues to influence my approach to leadership, program design, and community advocacy.
Outside of my role in public health, I am a songwriter, recording artist, painter, and author. My music, including My Healer, is available on major streaming platforms, and I am currently working on two books: CEO of Me: Strategic Hiring and Firing (a self-help guide to growth and leadership) and The Hollowing (a fictional thriller). I am also an active member of the Ryan White Planning Council for the City of Paterson, helping shape strategies and resources for people living with HIV.
Whether through service, advocacy, or creativity, my purpose is the same: to help people transform challenges into opportunities for healing, growth, and empowerment.
